BeaconNet is extended to form this virtual network of doctors, BeaconNet+. The Plus symbol indicates how this is related to BeaconNet, it is also the symbol of Doctors and also represents positivity, so very important for Save Pune Traffic Movement.

Each doctor, is highly respected by his/her circle of patients and the fellow doctors. Idea is that s/he can support this citizens’ initiative by spreading the spirit of Movement in the domain of patients and other fellow doctors, e.g. by keeping Movement literature in the clinic and by mentioning it positively to them at appropriate time, as and when suitable. 

The idea is not to tax Doctor's time, which is most certainly a scarce resource. So, there are no meetings intended here.

Only pre-requisite of course is that the Doctor joins the Movement itself, which means taking up the commitment to follow the traffic rules 100% and expressing the commitment openly through the sticker on the vehicle. (We have to practice, before we can preach!)

IMA has supported this project and Dr.K.H.Sancheti has kindly accepted to be its President. This is being launched formally on 4th April, 2004 in the monthly meeting of IMA. All Doctors, who will join it before the launch will be considered the founder members of this network.
