Case Study: Wipro

Mrs. Jayashree Joglekar, who heads Wipro Technologies center Pune, took keen interest to discuss the concept of the Movement, participated herself in the presentation about the Movement that was held at their office, and put in an important positive thought to the people at Wipro, Pune that by participating in the Movement, one becomes part of the solution, rather than remaining a part of the problem. She encouraged Milind Karnik from Admin to actively coordinate for the problem.

Mr.Milind Karnik, heading the Admin, organized the presentation by Rajendra Sidhaye at Wipro office, and encouraged people to participate. He further took interest in ensuring that the Wipro buses, picking up & dropping the employees, will stop at the right places as per the rules.

In the words of Mrs.Jayshree Joglekar: about the Movement & the organizational program:

“I feel that a grass root movement such as this is essential to the ever growing problem of traffic mishaps and tragedies. To make our employees aware of the traffic rules and the importance of safety on road, we organise presentations and send frequent communication about traffic safety.   Stickers for the vehicles and brochures to provide information about traffic rules have also been put up in our premises.

Mr.Milind Karnik adds:

“This movement will definitely help us a lot in avoiding accidents and mishaps. All our bus drivers have been instructed to follow traffic rules. Strict action by the transport committee is taken if they fail to follow the instructions given.”
