This is a channel for giving feedback to Governing Authorities, if you are part of the SPTM team. Please note, intention of this is neither to facilitate criticism of Authorities, nor even to give "smart" ideas while we remain part of the problem. 

These are the sincere feedbacks from a team of we citizens who are not only 100% committed unconditionally to our own duty , but also are making all efforts to spread this commitment to other Citizens. 

Here is an open letter to the governing authorities and along with the feedbacks. If you have already joined the Movement and have any feedbacks to give or even a suggestion for this channel to governing authorities, please use the feedback link to let us know.

Please note, this is not an on line mechanism, nor are these feedbacks sent to Authorities by email, simply because they are not geared up at present for this. (We will keep  making efforts to make that happen). Hence, at present, the feedbacks will be periodically printed and specific team will keep meeting specific governing authorities on a regular basis to give the feedbacks physically and seek their update on the feedbacks already given. Dear Sirs/Madams, 

We are a team of Pune citizens, who are part of Save Pune Traffic Movement and have taken up a commitment to follow traffic rules i.e. to carry out our responsibility 100% and unconditionally. We also express our commitment openly through a message on the vehicle “I am proud to follow traffic rules” (in Marathi or English), so that the message spreads to the other citizens. We are also making efforts through various ways to motivate other citizens also to join the team.

Our aim is to stop the blame passing game between Citizens and governing authorities, so that we progress as a team to realize the transformation of Pune's traffic. We have started with ourselves and our main focus is Citizens. We are spreading awareness about the traffic rules and safe driving but please note that we do not stop here. Our approach is to get 100% commitment to follow rules from the citizens joining the movement. Obviously, this approach will improve the traffic condition without putting any burden on you, whatsoever. As more and more citizens join the Movement, it will reduce load on Police so that they will be able to concentrate on irresponsible people who only understand the language of law.

We now have hundreds of citizens, several Organizations, and several respected eminent citizens, doctors etc. and we are targeting to increase this participation to thousands and then Lakhs.  

We now wish to open a communication with you i.e. all the governing authorities on a periodic basis to give feedback. Idea of this is not to criticize you, but to give you feedback from the responsible citizens, so that you can have a chance to work on these points. 

We will really appreciate if you can respond to us on these feedbacks, so that the citizens feel positive and encouraged. Purposely, the feedbacks will be copied to all governing authorities, since there could be some overlap between different authorities in planning and implementation for these. Since Corporation, Police as well as RTO have web sites and have staff working for Internet connectivity, we would urge you to allow us to send these feedbacks to you by email.  Needless to say, this needs effective processing of these emails at your end and forwarding to appropriate responsible officials so that they can give us the response and updates to our feedbacks on an ongoing basis by email. This will be very efficient communication and will encourage citizens in our team a lot.

Feedbacks of following two types are enclosed:

1.      Feedback of General or Strategic nature.

2.      Feedback regarding specific issues at specific places in the city.

We trust we will always have an ongoing and great teamwork between Citizens and governing authorities in order to work for a common purpose: Completely transforming the traffic conditions in our beloved city of Pune.
